Beppu Onsen
Beppu Onsen is an extensive hot spring system located in the city of Beppu, Ōita Prefecture, Japan. It is one of the most famous hot spring resorts in the country, known for its abundance of thermal waters and wide range of unique bath types.
Beppu Onsen consists of eight distinct major thermal spring zones called "Beppu Hatto". Together, these eight areas produce more hot spring water than any other onsen resort in Japan. The city has 2,909 hot spring vents, accounting for more than 10% of the 27,644 hot spring vents in the country.
